When I woke up this morning it was snowing. The current temperature is 39°F, but it feels like 29°F. The pool company opened our pool yesterday. How ironic.

A Different System of Values
As a US citizen, I’m becoming increasingly disappointed when I hear what people have to say about what’s wrong with our country, our leaders and our citizens. I question their intelligence when they preach about the loss of jobs without reviewing the facts published by the Department of Labor. I question their character when I […]

A magazine recently ran a “Dilbert Quotes” contest. They were looking for people to submit quotes from their real-life Dilbert-type managers. Here are some of the submissions: 1. As of tomorrow, employees will only be able to access the building using individual security cards. Pictures will be taken next Wednesday and employees will receive their […]

Once again, we welcomed in the New Year with our neighbors and a few new friends we’ve made since moving to Henniker almost two years ago. It was the perfect way to celebrate the final year of the old millenium. (Yes, we’re sticking with the scientists on the fact that the new millenium really starts […]

We’re busy getting ready for the holidays as we’re going to have a house-full of guests this year… 9 adults, 2 kids, 5 dogs and 2 cats. I’m looking forward to every minute of it. We’re frantically getting ready to go on vacation. This year takes us to Australia where we’ll be spending a week diving on the SpoilSport and another 12 days visiting Townsville, Cairns, Ayers Rock, Alice Springs, Sydney and Melbourne. I should say my husband will be diving (I can’t even swim) and I’ll be soaking up […]

We’re doing obedience again… round 2 for Kisa and beginner’s classes for Larkin. I was very worried about Kisa moving into the more advance class, but once again she really surprised me. All of a sudden, she understands stay and is doing it in the midst of many distractions. I thought Larkin was going to […]

Our second Leo Larkin arrive safe and sound. I wonder a hundred times a day whether we did the right thing getting them so close together. I always end up answering yes when I realize how lonely it would be at home all day without them. There won’t be much to post this month… I’m […]

The bear is a regular occurrence these days and definitely showing it’s intelligence. I think it’s a she because it’s showing the cubs where to find free food. (Like my neighbor’s really expensive bird feeders.) Kisa has been doing agility and obedience training. The first time we ran the agility course off leash, she was […]
